Note:Some people may benefit
from appliqué scissors. I use
my sewing scissors or snips
without difficulty. It may require
a little practice to determine what
works best for you.

The edges will be finished during the remainder of the sewout. The
finishing edge may be another fill area or a satin column. The design may
also use embroidery over the appliqué area to add further detail. The
designs above, from Romance Collection and Enchantments Collection,
stitch specialty stitches and other patterns over the appliqué for a lovely
effect which the scan doesn't capture well enough.
